St. Helen’s CE Primary School Fundraising
The school receives tremendous support from the staff, parents, grandparents and the local community. Our aim is to give children the opportunities to take part in activities and experiences to enhance their school experience. Our new fundraising group have been working together with staff and the local community to put together a program of events. Fundraising from these events will go towards enhancing the children's school experiences by enhancing their curriculum through visitors, experiences and resources. The fundraising will also go towards developing and enhancing the school environment.
Last year our SHINE fundraisers supported our school in providing B-Tales workshops and performances for each class throughout the year on Bible Tales focusing on our school Christian values. These performances were enjoyed by our families and our school children. The money raised also went towards creating new reading areas in each classroom and furnishing our 'soft landings' area for children who need a quiet place in our school. Outdoor furniture was provided for children to enjoy playing board games and take part in drawing at breaktimes. Through book sales and fundraising, all classes received a 'Beloved Box of Books' with quality texts from a range of genres including classic and contemporary authors, fiction and non-fiction, all to foster a love of reading across the school.
We look forward to continuing our partnership and providing experiences and resources in enhancing children's experiences at St Helen's CE Primary through fun activities led by our children, families and staff.
